1970s Drill Press Restoration

Still kickin' after 50 years

Project steps and Images

I was looking for a drill press, and someone happened to be wanting to get rid of this one. It was an offer too good to refuse!

Since this was my first tool restoration, I only went with a simple rust and dust cleaning and re-painting of a few parts. The biggest challenge was figuring out how to submerge the large parts in rust remover, but everything worked out in the end. It now runs great, and should last many more years in the workshop.
